What Matters Now Stories

Here is some of the feedback we've received from people letting us know how What Matters Now has helped them and their loved ones:

I cannot express in words the gratitude I feel to What Matters Now for enabling me to get a website up for my brother at this time in his life. It has brought some joy to him at a very hard time.

Our website has brought our family closer and made it easy to keep everyone updated.  It's comforting to see loved ones' posts, memories and pictures. Thank you so much for your dedication and hard work.

Our What Matters Now website is wonderful. It's helping me support my best friend who had a stroke.

My grandma loves doing the reflections. The questions are prompting her to share stories with the family that we've never heard before.

I want to thank you for creating this site. I have an Aunt who is cared for by her daughter-in-law in Mississippi and it warms my heart to know that all I have to do is open my email and find an update on my Aunt, sent by her website. It makes it so much easier on my family here in Indiana to know how she is doing every day without the long distance phone calls which as you know can rack up one's phone bill.

I think What Matters Now has a long life and I am and will be forever grateful for the opportunity to keep in touch with my family during this trying time in our lives. Thank you so very much for your generosity.

I can't thank you all enough for creating What Matters Now. I came upon your site while trying to distract myself from the heartbreaking task of caring for my Mom who was dying from lung cancer.

The website was perfect because I found it when Mom no longer wanted to speak to or see anyone other than my sisters and myself. It helped keep everyone informed on Mom's condition without me having to repeat it over and over. At the end of each day, I would read the comments written in Mom's guest book. I felt comforted reading the lovely words about Mom, and Mom enjoyed when I would read them to her.

Mom passed in the early morning of October 1. And as much as I miss her and hate that she had to experience the agony of cancer - I'm grateful for the hospice team and for our website. It made a terrible time just a bit more bearable. So thank you, for your hard work and compassion and dedication. It meant so much to me and my family.

Thank you so much for providing my husband with the opportunity to share his end of life journey with his loved ones. I believe the correspondence extended and enriched his life and will be with us always. It was truly extraordinary.
